This is the second story from the series and while it started to deviate with the original tone of the series, it still retained much of the original vibes that was seen in the first story (unlike Carron: When Leaves Meet).
This was inspired by one of the fake screenshots RoboticDreamz made in 2010 and much like the original concept, it starred Min instead of Tomochi.
When Tomochi Akaruku met the real Aya Mizuki after she awoke from her long coma, they bonded throughout the years.
One foggy morning, his friends decided to go camping.
"Where shall we go?" Ayaka Koto, Aya's cousin, asked them.
"I don't know but we're going to find a cozy place to camp." Aya said.
"This Halloween, I want to see a real haunted house!" Min Kagura said cheerfully.
Everyone was shock to hear the word "haunted".
"Well, I don't think so." Shimo, Min's sister, said as she puck her lips.
"Onesan! I'm already brave to go in a haunted house in the fair!" Min wailed.
"I think we already arrive in a haunted house." Aya stopped walking and stared at an old abandoned house.
Aya knocked at the door and it automatically opened.
"Let's go inside." Aya said.
They went inside then door suddenly shut.
Min tried to open the door but it was locked.
"I though you were brave." Shimo said as she stared at her sister.
"Yes I am! I just trying to let the wind in!" Min shouted as she pulled the doorknob.
Suddenly a wind came from nowhere.
"I think it depends on you, Min." Tomochi said as he smiled a little.
"I want Halloween costumes!" Min said proudly.
Just then, they all fell down and some zombies went to get Halloween costumes.
"Ugh, I didn't know zombies were costume designers!" Ayaka cried in disgust.
They got their Halloween costumes and were brought back in the hall.
"I want this to be a real haunted adventure!" Min said proudly.
Suddenly a voice said, "That's your last wish, are you sure you want this to be super haunted?"
"Why yes!" Min said cheerfully.
The voice sighed and said, "Alright then."
A light flashed and nothing happened.
"Is this super haunted now?" Ayaka shivered as she looked around.
Min saw a pale tomboyish girl walking down the hall.
"Yeah, this is actually haunted!" Min said cheerfully as she followed the girl.
Min dragged the girl and she fell down.
"Oh..." The girl moaned.
"Wait a minute, you're a ghost! How come you fell down and hurt your head?" Min asked the girl as she sat down.
"Me? A ghost?" The girl repeated.
"Yeah." Min said as she tilted her head and puckered her lips.
"I'm solid ghost. I never died, I was only zapped into a ghost-like color but I will stay as a young girl." The girl said as her calm eyes stared at the dark floor.
"I get it," Min said as she shook hands with her, "I'm Min Kagura, what's your name?"
"Kero Sayuri." The girl replied.
"Kero? It reminds me about a frog." Min giggled.
"Well yeah." Kero giggled.
Kero have eyeglasses and freckles. She also have a wavy, short pale ginger hair. She is wearing an undershirt with opened shirt outside and she wears a short made out of pajama fabrics.
"You also remind me of a weird boy." Min curiously said as she push up her loose glasses.
"Oh! I know him." Kero smiled.
"Your clothes are weird also," Min said as she looked at her shorts.
"Yes, I know." Kero smiled, as Min saw her braces.
Aya went to the corner and saw Kero and Min.
"Min, are you talking to Fregley's ghost?" Aya asked her as she giggled.
"Umm...uhhh....Yes." Min said trying to hide Kero's identity.
"Well," Aya said as she shook hands with Kero, "Nice to meet you, Fregley!"
Aya and Kero laughed as Min smiled at them.
"By the way, you can call me nicknames. I am known as Fregley in school." Kero said.
"Awesome! I'm Ayano Mizuki, but everyone calls me Aya." Aya said as she smiled.
"Nice name, Aya." Kero smiled as she shook hands with her.
"Have you ate a pizza that came from the trash?" Aya asked her.
"Not really but I usually eat left-overs." Kero giggled.
"Gross!" Aya cried as they laughed.
"I have a mole which is called a secret freckle!" Kero said as she mimicked Fregley's voice.
"Oh no. I don't like to see it." Aya giggled.
"Hey, where's the haunted scene?" Min suddenly remembered.
"Oh, the haunted scene is right now." Kero said as she went to the hall.
They all ran to the hall to meet Shimo, Tomochi and Ayaka but they were being attacked by some bats.
"Aya, help us!" Shimo screamed.
The bats saw Kero, Min and Aya and chased them.
"I have an idea." Kero said as she rubbed her chin.
She grabbed a pouch in her pocket and threw some candies to the bats. The bats ate it and they started to fly weirdly.
"These bats are sugar high." Min said as she watch bats bump in the walls.
"Min! Thank you for saving us." Shimo said as she ran to hug Min.
"Actually, onesan, our new friend save us from the bats." Min said as she sighed.
"My name is Kero Sayuri, but everyone calls me Fregley because I looked like him." Kero said as she shook hands with Shimo.
"I'm Mikoto Kagura, everyone calls me Shimo." Shimo said as she smiled.
"All of us has nicknames except for me," Min said sadly as she hung her head, "My name is too short that it looks like my nickname already."
"Well, the name Min is still nice." Kero said, complimenting her name.
"Thanks." Min said as she smiled at her.
Suddenly a loud banging was heard from one of the doors.
"It must be my ghostmate." Kero said as she tried to look that nothing happened.
"Greg Heffley?" Aya asked her.
"Well, no, my ghostmate looked different." Kero said as she ran to open the noisy, banging door.
"Oh no! What have I done?" Kero screamed as a different ghost followed her.
"Fregley, is that a real ghost?" Aya asked her.
"Yes! You gotta all run!" Kero shouted as the ghost chased her.
Everyone started to panicked except for Min, which didn't run.
The ghost cornered Min an she stared the ghost.
"Boo." Min said with a wink.
The ghost shrieked and disappeared from the view.
Aya went back to where Min is standing and saw the ghost disappeared.
"How did you bust the ghost?" Aya asked her.
"I said boo and that's all." Min said.
"I didn't know that you are a good Ghostbuster!" Kero cried as she hugged her.
"A Ghostbuster?!" Min giggled.
"Yeah." Kero said. "You should join Peter Venkman's crew sometimes!"
Tomochi went to see Min and said, "Min, Kero, Aya, where's the ghost?"
"Min busted it!" Kero bragged.
Tomochi laughed, "How did you bust it? Sounds like a likely story."
"You don't believe me? I just said boo and that's all." Min said as she puckered her lips.
"Oh, I see." Tomochi said as he smiled.
Suddenly Kero disappeared.
"Kero? Where are you?" Min shouted.
She fell down and was automatically chained up.
"Kero!" Min cried when she saw Kero beside her.
"Yes, Min?" Kero wearily asked her.
"What happened to you?" Min asked.
"I think we're gonna switch bodies." Kero said.
"You can't die! You're a ghost!" Min screamed.
"I know but I feel weak now." Kero said as she closed her eyes.
"How come?" Min cried.
"Everytime a ghost get busted, I am slowly turning to a boy," Kero said as she wearily tilted her head, "My human form is more like a girl."
"I see." Min said as she puckered her lips.
"I guess we're gonna be chained forever." Kero said in a western-like accent.
Min shouted at Kero so she would snap back into reality.
"What? Where are we?" Kero suddenly panicked.
"I don't know! You're the first to be chained up!" Min shouted.
"I remember now! They locked us up because they're turning me into a boy!" Kero screamed.
"They might turn me into a ghost or something!" Min shouted as she struggled.
A red light glowed and faded.
"What's wrong with our ray machine?!" A man's voice blamed an assistant from far away.
"Mister, is there something wrong?" Min asked the voice.
"Yes, my assistant suddenly aborted the power!!" The voice cried.
"Free me and I'll help you fix that." Min said.
"Alright then." The voice said.
Min was freed and she went to the mad scientist.
"Okay, tell me the problem." Min said as she looked at the tall man.
The man explained everything and Min understand.
"Easy!" Min said as she fixed the machine, "You'll just do this and that. Then this and that. There! All done!"
The machine started working and the man was surprised.
"Great, now go back to your trap." The man said.
"Okie dokie!" Min said as she smiled.
The ray machine hit both Kero and Min and they all went black.
Min woke up in a very dusty room. It has full of cobwebs and the furnitures were all covered in white sheets.
"Where am I?" Min said as she looked around.
She got up and saw herself in the dusty mirror, she didn't became a ghost, she became a boy!
She screamed so loud making everyone look around.
"Is that Min screaming?" Ayaka asked Tomochi.
"It could be." Tomochi said.
Kero, who is in the other side awoke and rushed to see Min.
"What's going on?" Kero asked her unconsciously as she saw her with short hair.
"Oh, nothing, Kero. Did you know that you became a human right now?" Min said, trying to pretend that nothing happened.
Kero noticed that she is wearing a cream colored shirt that reaches her neck and a red v-neck sleeveless red sweater beneath her clothes, she also notice that she is wearing baggy pants. Her skin and hair color went back to normal.
"I did?" Kero exclaimed as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"Yes, you're like Fregley now." Min said as she smiled.
"Well you look like Rowley." Kero joked as she giggled.
"How can I become a girl again?" Min asked her.
"Eat this." Kero said as she pulled a strange candy.
Min ate the candy and went back to normal.
"So Kero, if you became a girl, what do you look like?" Min asked her.
"I look like Fregley, except I have long braids." Kero said, trying to remember her actual human form.
"I see." Min said as she saw the dull afternoon shining in the hole of the window.
Suddenly, Ayaka came running and shouted, "Zombies and ghost started to bang all of the doors!"
"We can handle it." Min said as she got out.
"All of you, open the doors!" Kero commanded everyone.
Everyone opened the doors and out came many zombies and ghosts.
Min started booing the ghosts while Kero fed the zombies with candies.
The ghosts and zombies kept multiplying and they couldn't handle them anymore.
"They're too many!" Min screamed.
"Quick! Shout 'boo' as loud as you can!" Kero cried as she pulled up a large sack of sweets.
"BOO!" Min shouted and her voice echoed, banishing all of the ghosts.
Kero threw all of her candies away and the zombies ate them, turning them to dust.
"That was easy!" Min said proudly.
A very faint knock can be heard.
"We must have missed a door." Min said as her smile became a curious and scared face.
The door kept knocking and they both hear it.
They followed the sound until they reach a corner which has the sign "Danger!"
Kero opened the door and out came a mummy throwing knives and other sharp things.
"Help me!" Kero screamed as they dodge the knives.
"Hold it Mr. Mummy!" Min shouted as the mummy stopped.
"I know who you are, you're only a robot!" Min shouted.
"I am not! I'm a real mummy!" The mummy said in a raspy voice.
"If you're not one, then you're suppose to be dead." Min said as she started to cry.
The mummy dropped his weapons and started to remove his wraps, "As you can see, the mad scientist turned me into a mummy."
"Then, what happened?" Min asked him as she help him remove his wraps.
"I thought I'm one but when I recognized Kero I stopped." The mummy said as he remove the last piece of wrap in his head.
"You mean you're Kero's best friend?" Min said as she saw his ugly face.
"Yes, when we both entered this house, we are suddenly trapped and became creatures." The mummy said.
Kero overheard the conversation and started to sob.
"What's the matter Kero?" Min said.
"That mummy was used to be my best friend who looks like Greg Heffley!" Kero sobbed as she gave her a candy.
"Mr. Mummy, this candy will bring you back to normal." Min said as she gave the candy to the mummy.
"Okay, I'll eat it." The mummy said as he opened the candy and ate it.
The mummy suddenly shrank into a normal boy and his face changed into a handsome one.
Kero saw him and hugged him, "Oh! You're back!"
The boy suddenly became speechless and he blushed.
"I love you Greg Heffley!" Kero said as she smiled.
"By the way, I'm Min Kagura." Min said as she shook hands with the boy.
"I'm Yukito Isuaname. Kero calls me Greg because I look like him." The boy said as he smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Yukito." Min said.
Min then looked at Kero.
"You know, Kero, he totally looks like Greg in the movie." Min said.
"Yeah, and I look Fregley." Kero giggled as she mimicked Fregley's voice.
When Yukito went to Min and Kero, he said, "I already saw you with some people when you first enter here."
Min suddenly remembered Tomochi, Aya, Ayaka, and Shimo.
"Oh no! They must be carried in the mad scientist's lab!" Min cried.
Meanwhile, Tomochi, Aya, and Shimo struggled in the chains.
"Free us now!" Aya screamed.
"I won't" The mad scientist said as he laughed manically.
Ayaka, who was hiding from one of the rooms during the zombies and ghosts attack went to see Min, Kero, and Yukito.
"Guys! I found the way to the mad scientist' lab!" Ayaka shouted.
"Ayaka, you're not chained?" Min was puzzled.
"Yes! I saw the way here!" Ayaka shouted as the trio followed her.
Meanwhile Tomochi found a way to free themselves.
The mad scientist fired the ray to them and the glow of the light faded.
"Blast! What did you do to the ray again!?" the mad scientist shouted at his assistant.
Tomochi unlocked his trap and tried to free the others.
Meanwhile, Min, Ayaka, Kero, and Yukito were crawling in a tunnel when they stumbled in a code.
"What's the numbers?" Min asked Ayaka.
"Press five, nine, three and seven!" Ayaka cried.
Min pressed the numbers and the door opened, revealing a bigger tunnel.
While they are unlocking codes, Tomochi unlocked Aya and Shimo's trap when the mad scientist saw them freed.
"Monsters! Get them!" The mad scientist shouted.
"Run!" Shimo cried.
Then they all saw a door and escaped there while the zombies followed them.
Just then, Min, Ayaka, Kero and Yukito stumbled another code.
"What's the word? It says NETERN ETH STEMORN DECO" Min said as she stared at the words.
"Easy!" Ayaka said, "Type the words: Enter the Monster Code."
Min typed the words and the door opened revealing a chamber.
They saw a table in the middle.
"How can we crack the code?" Min asked Ayaka.
"This seems a little hard," Ayaka said as she checked the big table, "Let me try it first."
A glow blinked at a stone and Ayaka tapped it.
"I see, you'll just need to follow the blinking of the stones!" Ayaka said.
"I'm good at those games." Kero said.
Kero tapped all the stones until the last one, the round red circular stone didn't blinked.
"Maybe we should touch the middle stone." Kero said as she touched the stone.
Yukito, Ayaka and Min touched the ball and a door opened, revealing another chamber.
"What's inside there?" Min asked Kero.
"It must be some entrance in the lab." Kero said as she ran to peek inside the dark room.
Suddenly, somebody knocked Kero down and accidentally got his lips in her lips.
"Tomochi?" Min cried as she looked at Tomochi kissing Kero in a bewildered face.
Tomochi opened his eyes and saw Kero facing him.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Tomochi cried as he sat down.
Kero turned red as her calm eyes stared at him.
"You gotta escape now!" Shimo shouted as she came running with Aya.
Kero and Tomochi stood up and went to the table.
"I know how to close the door." Kero said, rubbing her chin.
She pressed every stone backwards and they all touched the ball and the door closed.
The zombies banged on the door until it broke.
"That can't be!" Yukito cried, "We must find a away to escape!"
But it is too late, all of them was caught.
"Well done, monsters." The mad scientist said as he walked to the chamber.
"You gotta free us!" Ayaka shouted.
"Not yet unless I'll challenge these Monster Busters." The mad scientist said as he pointed Kero and Min.
"I know who you are! You're Dr. Yuichi Witty!" Yukito shouted.
Both Kero and Min giggled as Dr. Witty stared at them.
"Enough of laughing!" Dr. Witty shouted, making them stop giggle.
"Right now, I'm going to challenge you if you can defeat all of my monsters." Dr. Witty said as he showed a bunch of zombies and ghosts.
"We'll gonna try but if we win, you're gonna give us a prize!" Kero said as she puck her lips.
"If I win, you're gonna stay with me as ghosts!" Dr. Witty laughed maniacally as everyone gasped in horror.
"Okay, let's start the challenge." Min said as Kero gave her a ghost sucker.
"Monsters, attack them now!" Dr. Witty ordered.
Min enabled her ghost sucker and sucked all the ghost while Kero threw plants that explodes to the zombies.
"Alright! Alright! I give up, you win!" Dr. Witty cried as he fell down to his knees.
"We forgive you." Kero said as she smiled.
"Okay. I have a surprise for you for being brave," Dr. Witty said as he stood up, "Let's redecorate this house and host a Halloween party tonight."
"Yay!" Min and Kero screamed as they hugged each other.
"By the way, my name is not actually Dr. Yuichi Witty. My real name is Dr. Nicholas Sayuri, Kero's father." The doctor said as he ruffled Kero's hair.
"What? Is that you, Dad?" Kero cried in surprise when she heard the word "father".
"Yes, I am your father." Dr. Sayuri said as he hugged his daughter.
"Sounded like Star Wars to me." Min giggled.
"Let start decorating the house!" Kero cheered.
They finished decorating the haunted house in one hour.
Aya and Tomochi called their friends to come to the Halloween party, while Kero and Min prepared the food with the help of Shimo.
Not long when a bunch of people showed up in the door.
"Tell us, did you all experience a haunted adventure?" The children asked them.
"Well yes, it is a mystery also!" Kero replied.
"Cool! Can you show us those mysteries?" The kids pleaded.
Dr. Sayuri watched the kids and Kero solve the problems there until they arrived in his lab, where robotic zombies appeared and scared the kids.
Meanwhile, Min toured the kids around the hall, making them see the old portraits and pictures.
"You have a very nice dress, Aya." Aya's friends would say.
"Why thank you." Aya said as she smiled at them.
Aya gave the guests cookies while ghost swirled around and chase kids.
About 8:00, a bunch of kids appeared at the door begging some treats.
A zombie opened the door and gave candies to the children.
The children screamed and ran away because they saw a zombie.
After the party, everyone went home, including Kero, who lives next to the Kagura house.
Kero's mom was so happy to see her child back and she always let Min come in.
Yukito also visit Kero and Min. He is also a neighbor in Midori Street, which they live.
Sometimes, they eat dinner at Min's house with Aya and Tomochi during homework sleepovers.
Min was now known as Min the Brave.
